Pherzawl/Imphal, June 19, 2020: Manipur High Court has stayed the decision of Pherzawl District Deputy Commissioner to temporarily suspend the ruling members of Senvon Village Authority.
23.07% students from government schools clear HSLC Exam 2020
Pherzawl, June 18, 2020: Government schools in Pherzawl District registered just 23.07% pass percentage in the recently declared HSLC 2020 Exam, according to a document released by the district ZEO.
As many as 104 students appeared for the exam and out of these 24 were successful.
Among the schools, Parvachawm Govt High School performed the best with 50% success record. However, there were just two students who appeared for the exam.

25 new lecturers assigned to 2 Pherzawl District colleges
Pherzawl, June 17, 2020: The Government of Manipur on June 4, 2020, issued an order assigning new lecturers for higher secondary schools across the state. As many as 25 lecturers have been assigned to Parbung Hr Sec and Thanlon Hr Sec. schools. These new recruits are additional staff to the already existing staff in both the institutions and they have been informed to go to their places of work as soon as Covid-19 shutdown restrictions are relaxed or even before the end of restrictions if there is a new direction. No iota of favouritism in distribution of food items in Thanlon Constituency: Associations

Imphal, May 30 2020: Hmar Youth Association, Zomi Youth Association, Young Vaiphei Association have said that the distribution of rice and other essential commodities including dal to the people of the Thanlon Assembly Constituency during the lockdown period in the fight against COVID-19 by the Churachandpur District Administration in close coordination with Vungzagin Valte, MLA of the constituency and Chairman of the Manipur Tribal Development Corporation is found to be very ‘impartial and there is no iota of favouritism to or marginalisation of any section of the people in the constituency.
In a joint statement, the three associations said that they have visited many areas of the Constituency and met people to verify the quantum of rice distribution during the lockdown and took their opinion about the distribution system.
Saying that the people of the constituency appreciated the MLA for his benevolent act and systematic channelisation of the District Administration in the distribution of food items without any impartiality, the joint statement maintained that the people of the Constituency informed them (Hmar Youth Association, Zomi Youth Association, Young Vaiphei Association) that every household of the Constituency has been given 100 kg/1 quintal of rice.
They informed the volunteers of the associations that 25 kg of rice per household was distributed first in between March 28 to April 1, 2020; another 25 kg of rice per household was distributed for the second time in between April 24 to 28, 2020 and one bag of rice (50 kg) was distributed in between May 20 to 24, 2020 for the third time, the three bodies claimed.

Pherzawl District Covid-19 Quarantine Centre at Geljang Resort
Pherzawl District Administration has setup Covid-19 Quarantine Centre at Geljang Resort in Churachandpur District to house people who are returning from various parts of India.
Those admitted to the centre will undergo a 14-day quarantine after which they will be allowed to return to their respective villages if they test negative for the contagious disease.
Two trains arrive with 1476 passengers, including those from Pherzawl District
Two special trains from Hyderabad and Dehradun arrived at Jiribam railway station at 10 am and 6.10 pm respectively bringing a total of 1476 stranded State natives.
