The Government of Manipur on June 30, 2020, issued an order to specifically name the constituent villages of Pherzawl Sub-Division. The sub-division was officially created at the time of the creation of the district on December 8, 2016, but there was no separate notification on the constituent villages.
Manipur government will not be enforcing legislations related to Reserved Forest, Protected Forest and Wildlife Sanctuaries that resulted in the creation of several reserved areas, including the Kailam Wildlife Sanctuary.
