The Missing Case of Pherzawl-Imphal Express Bus
Chief Minister Pu Biren Singh last year flagged of Pherzawl-Imphal Express bus service with much fanfare in the state capital. We cheered and rejoiced with great expectations then. The bus with great difficulty reached Pherzawl and officials received a grand welcome in almost every village.
However, soon after few months, the people of Pherzawl District couldn’t trace where the bus ‘disappeared’. Some say it is in Imphal while others say it is somewhere in Churachandpur District. Wherever it may be, the fact of the matter is that we the people of Pherzawl District considered it a ‘lost and found’ case. As such we issued an open call today to our Chief Minister Pu Biren via Twitter.

He immediately reacted by liking our tweet and retweet it to his followers on the social media platform. In addition, we received a response from Pu Rajat Sethi, adviser to Manipur Chief Minister, who said the issue has been duly noted and directions issued for immediate action.
While appreciating the quick gesture of the CM and his adviser, we pray that the bus is ‘located’ soon and put back on the roads where it is supposed to ply.

Update: A week after, we are still clueless where the bus is and whether the government will replace with a new one as people need this public service urgently.
