Hmar Students Association condemns ‘secret plot’ to shift Pherzawl District HQ

The Hmar Students Association has claimed that there is a “secret plot” to shift the headquarters of Pherzawl District to some other Sub Divisional Headquarters. The student body said in a press statement that it took the issue “seriously” while condemning the divisive approach taken some “vested interest individuals and organizations”.

Meanwhile, Citizens’ Initiative for Development and Empowerment has directly asked Chief Minister Pu N Biren Singh on Twitter to clarify his government’s stand on the issue. He is yet to respond at the time of filing this report. (Update: CM has responded: See the last paragraph)
